Clarence Junior Leatherman
Clarence Junior Leatherman, 71, of Moorefield, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at WVU Medicine’s J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born May 7, 1951, in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Charles and Ina Susan (Miller) Leatherman. He was also preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, one grandson, two step grand-daughters, one step son and one step grand-son.
Clarence was a truck driver and worked for many years Eastern Building Supplies. He also worked as a farmer, a chicken catcher for Rockingham Poultry, Vacuum Services and various other jobs throughout his lifetime. He attended Moorefield Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Helen E. Leatherman; one daughter, Karen Heavner; two brothers, Bobby Leatherman and wife, Judy and Donnie Leatherman and wife, Juanita; one sister, Peggy Bishop and husband, Bob; two step-daughters; four step-sons; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; twenty-one step grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held for Clarence on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Moorefield Church of God, 223 South Elm Street, Moorefield at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Doug Bowers officiating. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
