Cleal Hose, Jr.

 

Cleal “Junior” Hose, Jr., 74, of Moorefield, WV, died Monday, November 23, 2020, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.

Born February 16, 1946, in Moorefield, he is the son of the late Cleal Hose, Sr. and Rachel Ann (Shockey) Hose. He was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Hose; one daughter, Michelle Hose; seven brothers; four sisters and three great-grandchildren.

Junior was a truck driver, hauling produce for Homer Fellers in Levels, WV. He was also a dairy farmer and welder. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Old Fields Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. He also attended Fort Run Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, L. Faye Hose; two sons, Cleal “Half-Pint” Hose, III, Kearneysville, WV; Joseph Hose, Winchester, VA; four daughters, Patsy Ann Fortune and Linda Everheart, both of Martinsburg, WV; Melissa Ann Hose, Moorefield and Daisy Faye Hose, Petersburg, WV; two brothers, Virgil Gene Hose, Leesburg, VA; Stanley Hose, Maysville, WV; one sister, Edna Jean Woodward, Martinsburg, WV; twenty-nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; ten nephews and fourteen nieces.

Friends will be received at Elmore Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Howard officiating.  Interment will be in the Fitzwater Hose Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Elmore Funeral Home to help defray the cost of the funeral

Due to the pandemic face coverings will be required in the funeral home and social distancing must be observed.
