Donna Rucker Conn Zirk
After a hard-fought battle with pain and illness, Donna Rucker Conn Zirk went gratefully into the arms of her Savior on October 14, 2022.
She was born on May 13, 1953 in Fairfield, OH. She graduated from Garfield High School in Hamilton, OH in 1971. She attended Miami University of Ohio. Later she lived in Hurricane, WV and Dunbar, WV. For many years she worked at the University System of WV as an administrative assistant. Then, later in life, she enjoyed helping students improve their reading by offering private tutoring in her home. She loved travel, the ocean, books, music, tea cups, flowers, miniatures, and Star Trek.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Wayne E. Zirk; her children, Elizabeth S. Zirk-Wyatt (Justin) and William R. Conn; grandchildren, Joshua, Seth, Laura and Eli Bailey and Lucas and Madison Wyatt.
She looks forward to being reunited with her parents, Edwin and Jewell Conn, who passed on first.
There will be private graveside services for family. She will be buried at Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Donna’s name to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
