Jimmy David May

Jimmy David May, 66, of Purgitsville, WV passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at home.

Born July 8, 1955, In Bergton, VA, he was the son of the late Otis Lee and Gracie (shoemaker) May. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nina See and four brothers, Donnie, Harlen, Garland, and John May.

Jimmy was a laborer and was a member of Crab Run Church of the Brethren in Mathias.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Louise Hudgins-May; five sisters, Janice Fulk, Sandyville, WV; Edna Dispenet, Timberville, VA; Kathryn Combs, Broadway, VA; Ellen Lloyd, Mathias, WV; Deloris Miller, Broadway, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Elmore Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Perry Moyer Memorial Cemetery, Bergton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elmore Funeral Home, 217 Winchester Avenue, Moorefield, WV 26836, to help defray the cost of the funeral.

Due to the current pandemic, masks and social distancing are encouraged.
