Margaret Ann Cole Redman

Margaret Ann Cole Redman, age 71, of Moorefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side. Born on September 24, 1947 in Moorefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Otis “Jack” Cole and Jenny Frances Jones Cole.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Lissel Redman of Moorefield, WV; three daughters, Ronnette and husband, Mervin Pope of Moorefield, WV, Dallas Redman of New Creek, WV and Vivian McClean of Moorefield, WV; eight sons, Rodney Redman and Reginald Redman of Moorefield, WV, Michael Redman of Lahmansville, WV, Christopher Redman of Harrisonburg, VA, Phillip Jones of Morgantown, WV, Robert Crank of Petersburg, WV, Chad Jackson and Chay Jackson of Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Jacqueline Russell  of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Ervin “Turk” Cole and James Cole both of Moorefield, WV; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Margaret was a member, historian and chairperson of the Administrative Council of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Moorefield, WV, as well as past president of the United Methodist Women. She was one of the original directors of the Hardy County Day Care Center, Moorefield, WV, and was owner and operator of Country Kitchen Restaurant, Moorefield, WV, for many years.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019 at Elmore Funeral Home, Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with Pastor Harold George officiating. Burial will follow at Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield, WV. Memorial Donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 127 W. Brighton Avenue, Moorefield, WV   26836.
