Margaret Phyllis Ann Silvester Sager


Margaret Phyllis Ann Silvester Sager, age 83, of Moorefield, WV, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at her residence.  Born on November 4, 1935 in Coalton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Amedio Francis Silvester and Mary Wilda Scott Silvester.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, T. LaMar Sager; one son, Mark Sager; one granddaughter, Kristin Marie Norwood; one son-in-law, Bruce Allen Kesner; and one brother, Tony Silvester.

She is survived by three daughters, Tami Kesner of Moorefield, WV, Mary Beth Hardy and husband, Howie of Rig, WV, and Stephanie Ours and husband, Bill of Moorefield, WV; ten grandchildren: Ted Sager, Alisha Sager Weese, Adam Sager, Ryan Kesner, Luke Kesner, Sarah Norwood Dunn, Joey Norwood, Heather Ours, Bridget Ours Sions and Jordan Ours; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Rannells and husband, Charles of Shepherdstown, WV and Linda Pontius and husband, Don of  Midlothian, VA.

Phyllis graduated from Coalton High School in 1953 and then worked as a Dental Assistant to Ralph Olean, DDS.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished every moment that God had to give with a smile on her face.  She was a member of the Epithany Catholic Church, Moorefield, WV.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Elmore Funeral Home, Moorefield, WV. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Epithany Catholic Church, Moorefield, WV with Father Giles LeVasseur and Father Richard Hite officiating. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield, WV.
