Mark Charles Ansel
Mark C. Ansel, 67, passed away on July 13, 2023, at his home in Moorefield. He was born on June 18, 1956.
Mark was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike, hunt, fish, and garden. He loved football and was a diehard mountaineers fan, often spending time with his nephew, Jonathan, and friends watching football games. He had many cherished pets during his life and spent his last years with his beloved pups, Chunk and Jasper, who both passed not long ago. Mark enjoyed helping the homeless community and could sometimes be found volunteering his time at homeless shelters.
Mark was the son of James E. Ansel and Irene S. Ansel, who preceded him. He is survived by a son, Andrew Ansel, sister Mary Adele Ansel, niece Jane Adele Tewalt (Curtis), and nephew, Jonathan H. Malcolm.
A funeral will not be held at this time. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
