Sophia Floretta See
Sophia Floretta See, 91, of South Fork, WV, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at the E.A. Hause Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Baker, WV.
Born December 5, 1929, in Fabius, WV, she was the daughter of Adam and Minnie (Kuykendall) Fitzwater. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William S. See, in 2003; three sisters; two brothers; and one son
Sophie was a homemaker, spending many years caring for her children. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. Sophie loved all of her family members, church family members, and neighbors. She was a kind and caring person. Sophie was dearly loved by many.
Sophie is survived by one daughter, Betty Jean Harman; four sons, Delmas and wife, Una; Donald and wife, Fern; Gary and wife, Anna; and William and wife, Teresa See; two sisters, Hilda Bradfield and Irene Micheal; three brothers, Bill, Ralph, and George Fitzwater; twenty grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and one special care giver, Jenny Sager.
Friends will be received at the Elmore Funeral Home, 217 Winchester Avenue, Moorefield on Thursday, August 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Elmore Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Koontz officiating. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield, WV.
