Viola See Kemp

On March 25, 2018, Viola See Kemp of Phoenix, AZ, originally of Moorefield, WV, beloved mother and
grandmother returned home to our Heavenly Father. Born on October 14, 1922 in Moorefield, WV, she
was the daughter of the late Dick M. and Edith Mae See. She and her husband, George, moved to Arizona
in the 1950s, where they built their forever home. Their home was a gathering place for family to get
together. She was an avid golfer and loved going to dances. She spent time helping out at Trinity United
Methodist Church in various ministries. She worked at Motorola for over 20 years when she retired in
1985. After retirement, she played golf at least once a week and traveled with her friends.

      In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Kemp; son, John
Kemp; brother, Grover See; and sisters, Mildred Bush and Nell
ie Parks.

      She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Wolf
e of Moorefield, WV; two of her beloved sons, George
(Rane) Kemp and Timothy Kemp of Phoenix, AZ; daughter-in-law, Cathy Kemp of Petersburg, WV; six
grandchildren, Kathy (Chuck) Hawkins, Richard (Denise) Kemp, Melissa (Brian) Toner, Lisa Tipton, Brian
(Rita) Kemp, and Ashley (Rory) Kemp; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and
several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

      She led a full and amazing life before she was taken from us. She was a fierce champion and a loyal
confidant to all who knew her, She supported her family through every endeavor and dream while
managing to chase many of her own. She was the foundation upon which the family was built.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 719 N. 27th
Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service. There will be a
reception to follow.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Elmore Funeral Home,
Moorefield, WV.
